Following family tradition, Dr. András Kelen graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest in 1971 and worked as a developer within the Cosmetics Sector of Richter Gedeon Pharmaceuticals for 20 years. He is known for his work on products under the Fabulon, Fabulissimo and Richtofit brands, still present on the market.

In 1976 he completed his doctoral studies „summa cum laude”, then in 1977 he qualified as a pharmaceutical technologist. He is known for many pharmaceutical and cosmetic patents, and his expertise has been recognised with numerous in-company and state awards. After the liquidation of the cosmetic research and manufacturing division of Richter Gedeon Plc., he founded the Dr.Kelen brand with his wife in 1992.

Since then, he has been obsessed with herbs, new cosmetic ingredients, and technologies, while sticking to the rigorous quality standards of the pharmaceutical industry. To this day he is actively involved in product development, constantly researching the possibilities offered by using new active substances.

Meanwhile, as a proud grandfather he tries with infinite patience and calm to spark an interest in the sciences and the world around them within his grandchildren. His son, Dr. Ákos Kelen (also a pharmacist), has shared his passion for development for many years, and together they make sure that Dr.Kelen products „work naturally” and help people’s health.
